Women's Volleyball Picks Up Decisive Win at Clarks Summit

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 road sweep of Clarks Summit on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24. 

 

Anna Ruff had the hot hand offensively, while Megan Morris led the defensive charge. Julia Choe and Tiniira Tubo were strong on the serve and Alyssa Snyder tallied the most assists of any of the team's setters. 

 

The Lions (8-4) jumped out to a decisive lead thanks to a 25-10 win in the opening set and held on for a 26-24 in the second game. Penn State Harrisburg left no doubt in the third set, finishing things off with an impressive 25-5 victory. 

 

NOTABLES

- Penn State Harrisburg has won six of its last seven outings.

- As a team, the Lions hit .556 in the third set. 

- Ruff racked up a team-high seven kills on .417 hitting. Tori Henderson added three of her own.

- Morris tallied a team-high 10 digs to go along with three service aces.

- Snyder finished with six assists, while Katie Richardson and Hannah DeGregory had four apiece.

- Choe recorded a match-high six aces. Tubo added four of her own.

The Lions return to action at Marywood on Tuesday night. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
