LANCASTER, Pa. – After a two-week break from competition, Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's cross country teams returned to action at the Charger Invitational hosted by Lancaster Bible on Friday evening, Sept. 20.

The women's squad earned a sixth-place finish, paced by Abagail Marquardt, while the men's team came home seventh overall, led by Camilo Ruiz's effort.

Marquardt paced the Blue & White women, finishing the 6K race in 31:05.2. Her time was good enough to earn her a 19th-place finish out of 46 total competitors. Following Marquardt was a trio of Penn State Harrisburg runners in Jameraquai May (29th-place), Jennifer Ross (30th-place) and Neeyah Turner (31st-place). Rounding out the group's scoring contingency was Carly Moore.

On the men's side, it was Ruiz crossing the finish line first in 21st-place out of 55 runners thanks to an effort of 31:11.2 in the 8K event. Right behind him was teammate Kadeem Willis in 22nd place, while Patrick Workman was the third Lion to secure a top-30 finish in 29th place. Dominick Hogans, Ricardo Lugo and Prabin Bhattarai completed the group of Penn State Harrisburg competitors.

The Lions are back at it at the Messiah College Invitational on Saturday morning, Sept. 28.
