Ebaugh Named Conference Defensive Player of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to her efforts in three matches last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Brittany Ebaugh has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

It is her second conference weekly award of the season after she was named the league's player of the week in mid-September. She joins teammate Alexis Imler as Penn State Harrisburg players to earn the conference's defensive player of the week accolade this fall.

Ebaugh was strong at the net and helped the Lions (15-13, 8-3 NEAC) earn a crucial victory at Lancaster Bible that clinched the No. 2 seed and secured a first-round bye in the upcoming NEAC Women's Volleyball Tournament. The senior racked up 21 total blocks on the week, including 11 solo rejections and 10 block assists. She continues to lead all of NCAA Division III with 70 block solos on the year. The Stewartstown, Pa. native also added 24 total kills with a .291 hitting percentage and eight digs across three contests. For the week, she averaged 1.62 blocks, 3.1 points and 1.85 kills per set.

The Blue & White will compete at Morrisville State in the semifinal round of the NEAC Tournament at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9. The Lions will take on the winner of Tuesday's Penn State Abington/Gallaudet first-round matchup.
