Women's Volleyball Falls to Salisbury

Salisbury, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team had a difficult road match at Salisbury. Despite a solid effort throughout all three sets, the Nittany Lions were swept by the Sea Gulls, 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-18).

In the opening set, Salisbury led the Lions 25-12. During the second set, Penn State Harrisburg came out stronger and only trailed Salisbury by 4 points. The last set of the day was also close due to several strong individual efforts by the Lady Lions. Freshman Madison Chace (Paso Robles, Ca. / Cedar Cliff) led for the Nittany Lions with 10 kills and 4 digs. She was followed by Casey Stump (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) who had 12 assists. Freshman Kari Ammerman (Troy, Pa. / Troy Area) also came up with 8 digs for Harrisburg.

Up next for Harrisburg is an away match at Southern Virginia. The match is set for 1 pm.
