Nittany Lions Fall to Seahawks

St. Mary's, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team had a difficult day at fellow conference competitor, St. Mary's. The Lions were swept by the Seahawk's after three sets.

Offensively, Freshmen Madison Chace (Paso Robles, Ca / Cedar Cliff) and Rachale Hair (Newburg, Pa. / Big Spring) led for Harrisburg with 5 kills each. On the other end, Kari Ammerman (Troy, Pa. / Troy Area) led with 13 digs while teammate Casey Stump (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) led with 16 assists. The Lions lost 16-25, 14-25, and 19-25. Although it was a difficult match for the Lions, they fought hard throughout the entire match. Harrisburg came from behind in the final set, three separate times to tie up the score. Hopefully they will be able to bring a similar effort into their next match.

Harrisburg returns to play this coming Wednesday for a home match against Wesley. Tip off is scheduled for 7 pm.
