Lady Lions Fall Short To Hood

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball put up a tough battle versus Hood Monday evening.  Unfortunately, this mighty effort was not enough to lift the lions past the Blazers as they dropped the match three sets to none.

Although the final score may not show it, the Lions made the visiting Blazers earn every single point in the three series match.  Sophomore Izzy D'Onofrio (Clarksboro, NJ/ Gloucester County Institute of Technology)  and junior Kiara Carter (Bronx, NY/Milton Hershey) came up big for the lions leading the team with six and eight kills to keep Penn State within striking distance for most of the night.

Despite the tough effort by the Lions, Hood proved to be too much and walked away with their fifth win of the season.  Harrisburg drops to 1-11 on the season.  The Blue and White will be back in action Thursday at Penn State Altoona, and return home Saturday September 29th to host Bryn Athyn at noon.
