NEW ORLEANS – The Unites States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its 2019 all-academic individual recipients. Penn State Harrisburg women's track & field athletes Sarah Lehman and Rae Rae Taylor earned the organization's all-academic recognition for their strong efforts in the classroom this past season.

Taylor is coming off a sophomore campaign that saw her earn all-America honors after she finished seventh in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in May. She also competed in the pentathlon at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in March and secured indoor and outdoor all-region recognition in an impressive five events, including the pentathlon, heptathlon, high jump, long jump and triple jump. The Pottstown, Pa. native was named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Indoor Athlete of the Year after winning a pair CAC Indoor Championships in the long jump and triple jump.

Lehman's sophomore season saw her compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships for the second year in a row. Following the outdoor campaign, she added another triple jump all-region honor to her impressive resume after winning a pair of CAC Outdoor Championships in both the long jump and triple jump events. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native also secured all-region recognition in the triple jump following indoor competition and was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week on three occasions.

A total of 631 women earned the USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual honors. To qualify, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and met either of the following athletics standards: competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship; finished the regular season ranked in the national top-35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-25 in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
