LEWISBURG, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams are one week away from competing at the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Indoor Championships. If their performances at the Bucknell Tune Up on Friday night are any indication, the Lions are ready to roll.

Thanks to outstanding efforts from Sarah Lehman, Rae Rae Taylor and Aiyala McPhee, the Blue & White saw three program records fall at Bucknell's Gerhard Field House on Feb. 8, while Jalil Clayton and Alex White earned solo victories of their own.

Lehman was absolutely stellar in the triple jump. In the span of five leaps, the sophomore reset her own program record four times. Her top effort of 11.60 meters clinched victory by a wide margin, erased her previous best mark of 11.48 meters and vaulted her into eighth place in the nation in the event. She also just missed out on a top-five finish in the long jump after posting a top bound of 5.28 meters.

Taylor beat out four Division I and six Division II athletes to come home fourth in the 200m dash. Most impressively, she broke the school record in the event with a scamper of 26.70 seconds. The sophomore also set a PR in the 60m dash, as her run of 8.09 seconds was good enough to shave .10 seconds off her previous top mark.

In that same 60m dash event, however, it was McPhee who turned heads. The freshman earned a runner-up finish in the race and set a new program record with a scurry of 7.94 seconds; a mark quick enough to rank her in the top 50 in the country in the event.

On the men's side, Clayton left no doubt in the 60m hurdles. The senior was victorious in the event thanks to an 8.30 effort in the finals. The overall victory came after easily winning his preliminary heat earlier in the evening.

White had a similar outing in the high jump, as he was the only competitor to clear the 1.95 meter mark, allowing him to win the event handily. The junior added a runner-up finish in the long jump, as his 6.77 meter bound was good enough to best eight jumpers from Division I schools.

Cameron Yon took part in both throwing events for the men, clinching a fifth-place finish in the weight throw with a top toss of 16.54 meters before coming home ninth in the shot put with his best throw measuring 13.94 meters.

With regular season competition now behind them, the Lions will turn their attention to championship season, beginning with the CAC Championships at Christopher Newport in Newport News, Va. next weekend. Day one of the championship event is set for Friday, Feb. 16.
