Lehman Earns Conference's Weekly Award

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to her stellar efforts in the first meet of the 2018-19 campaign, Penn State Harrisburg track & field athlete Sarah Lehman has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

The jumper/hurdler currently ranks in the top 10 in the nation in two jump events after the program's first competition of the indoor season. The 2018 outdoor all-American began her sophomore year by winning the triple jump at Susquehanna's River Hawk Opener with a top leap of 11.28 meters. She also earned a runner-up finish in the long jump thanks to a top effort of 5.34 meters. Her triple jump mark was good enough to rank seventh in the country, while her long jump effort ranks 10th in NCAA Division III. The 2017-18 CAC Rookie of the Year also took to the track and qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles.

Lehman and the rest of the Lions will get an extended break to enjoy the holiday season before returning to action at St. Thomas Aquinas' Spartan Invitational on Friday, Jan. 11.
