Lions Take 6th At CAC Indoor Championships

Newport News, Va- Penn State Harrisburg Women's Track & Field team took 6th place at the 2017-18 CAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.  Sarah Lehman and Rae Rae Taylor captured CAC Championships in the Triple Jump and Long Jump. As a team, the Blue & White scored 54 points.

Sarah Lehman took first place in the Triple Jump, traveling 11.48 meters. This not only tied her school record, it set a new CAC Indoor Championships record. Lehman would also finish second in the Long Jump, with a leap of 5.27 meters.

Rae Rae Taylor captured the CAC Championship in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.34 meters, setting a new school record in the process. Taylor was busy at the championships placing second in the Triple Jump traveling 10.80 meters. She would finish fourth in the High Jump, clearing 1.52 meters and ran her best time of the season in the 60 Meter Dash.

Ashley Williams would place third in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.28 seconds. The Lions 4x400 Meter relay team made up of Taylor, Williams, Sephora Senestant, and Kim Cummingham finished 7th setting a new school record with a time of 4.31.17. The Distance Medley team of Cummingham, Senestant, Allea Mcfarlane, and Veronica Repetz finish fifth with a time of 14:48.57. Rachale Hair also added to the team total with an eighth place finish in the Weight Throw with a toss of 12.54 meters.

Penn State Harrisburg's Women's Track & Field team will next be in action at the ECAC Indoor Championships in New York City on March 2nd and 3th.
