Lions Pushed At Spartan Invitational

Staten Island, NY- Penn State Harrisburg competed against tough competition at the Spartan Track & Field Invitational, but reaped the rewards as several athletes improved on their top times and distances.

Rae Rae Taylor had a strong showing in the 200 Meters finishing with a time 27.97 seconds. Taylor moved into eighth in the conference and her time was good enough for third in school history. Veronica Repetz and Kim Cummingham posted solid times in 800 Meters. They now rank sixth and eighth in CAC competition.

Taylor also had a good showing in the Triple Jump with a leap of 10.96 meters. This distance qualified her for the ECAC and CAC championships. Penn State Harrisburg now holds the top two spots in CAC competition in the Triple Jump.

Abrianna Hamby set the school record in the Weight Throw with a toss of 10.46 meters. Hamby now ranks tenth in CAC competition in the Weight Throw.
