Lions Struggle at St. Mary's

St. Mary's City, Md. – The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's tennis teams traveled to St. Mary's (Md.) for a conference matchup.  Both teams fell to the Seahawks on Wednesday March 30th.  The men lost 8-1 and the women lost 9-0.

 

On the men's side, the Lions fought hard in all three doubles matches losing 8-5, 8-6, and 9-7.  In singles action, the Blue and White kept it close but Senior Tyler Cook (Havre de Grace, Md. / Harvre de Grace) was the only Lion to claim a victory.  Cook won his match by defeating St. Mary's Robert Bishop, 7-5, 2-0. The Blue and White eventually fell 8-1.

 

On the women's side, the Lady Lions fought hard through out all three doubles matches eventually losing 8-1, 8-1, and 8-0. In singles action, the Blue and White were unable to find their groove and eventually lost to the Seahawks 9-0.

 

Penn State Harrisburg will next be in action on Sunday April 3rd when they host Salisbury in a conference match-up. Match time is set for 11 a.m.
