Hershey, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team started their first ever Capital Athletic Conference match hosting the Salisbury Seagull's on Saturday March 29th. Harrisburg was unable to take a win in singles or doubles action.
In the first singles game Theodora Avramidis (Vernon, N.J. / Vernon Township) was able to place a set win against her opponent showing that she was not going to give up without a fight. Also in the doubles matchup Alejandra Portillo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area )/Hillary Mataure lost and faced a tough opponent. However they were able to show perseverance and rack up a set win.
The woman's tennis team will travel and compete against Mary Washington at 6:00pm on Friday, April 4th.
