Middletown, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team swept the Trinity Tigers on Saturday March 22nd. They got their first win of the spring winning every match.
As doubles action got started top pairing of Theodora Avramidis (Glenwood, N.J. / Vernon Township) /Stephanie Harnden (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) easily handled things winning 8-0. # 2 doubles pairing Morgan Acker (Annville, Pa. / Annville-Cleona)/Laura Lin (Palmyra, Pa. / Susquehanna Township) & #3 doubles pairing Alejandra Portillo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area)/Fay Ansary (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) both won their doubles matches 8-2.
In singles all the of the women were able to gain wins in two sets. #3 singles Lin and #5 singles Acker both won impressively not giving up a game. The result gives the Lions and two game win streak thanks to their additional midweek win over Penn State Berks 6-3.
They will host Salisbury for their first Capital Athletic Conference match of the season next Sunday March 30th at 11:00 a.m.
