Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis came prepared for their home opener Tuesday March 18th against former NEAC rival Penn State Berks. Harrisburg held nothing back and did well enough to earn a 6-3 win over the visiting Lions.
Thankfully, Harrisburg was able to take home the win thanks to #3 Alejandra Portillo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra), #4 Laura Lin (Palmyra, Pa. / Susquehanna Township), #5 Morgan Acker (Annville, Pa. / Annville-Cleona) and #6 Fay Ansary (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) all pulled out the needed results. Ansary, a goal scoring soccer player in the fall, made her collegiate debut in Tuesday's match. Portillo and Ansary were the only two Harrisburg athletes to win in both singles and doubles.
