The 2016-2017 season marks Lindsey Nester’s first season as an assistant coach with the Penn State Harrisburg women’s soccer team.
- A 2016 graduate of Elizabethtown College, where Nester was a three year player for the Blue Jay’s women’s soccer team as an outside back. Nester was voted captain her final year as a Blue Jay.
- Nester also played at Randolph Macon College as a freshman where she was voted rookie of the year for the women’s soccer program.
- At Elizabethtown, Nester majored in English Literature with a double minor in creative writing and human services.
- Nester has previously coached at PA Classics and Hershey Soccer Club.
- In high school, Nester played both soccer and field hockey at Lancaster Catholic. She was captain for both sports her junior and senior year. Nester received all-conference honors for both sports as well.
Nester is also a member of Harrisburg’s Sports Information department as well as a graduate student seeking her teaching certificate.
