Women's Soccer Fights to Draw at St. Mary's (Md.)

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team fought to a scoreless double-overtime draw with United East foe St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday evening, Sept. 25.

HOW IT HAPPENED

For the fourth time this season and the first time in conference play, Penn State Harrisburg (3-2-4 overall, 2-0-1 United East) battled to a tie, this time on the road at St. Mary's (4-3-3, 1-0-2) on Saturday afternoon.

Each team got off a shot on frame in the second extra session but each squad's goalkeeper proved up to the task of keeping the sheet clean, with the Blue & White's Delaney Shifflett and the home team's Kylie Wells making crucial stops.

Neither team got off an attempt in the first overtime but Shifflett made seven big stops in the second half to keep the Seahawks off the board. Kylee Altland had a look with less than two minutes left in regulation but Wells answered the call and kept things scoreless with a minute and a half to go.
