How It Happened

Kristen Stark became Penn State Harrisburg's all-time leading scorer in the team's 2-0 shutout victory over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Cazenovia on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 13.

History was made in the game's 27th minute when Stark gathered a feed from Rhyan Socash and put her attempt past Cazenovia goalkeeper Caitlin Kelleher to give the Lions (7-6-1, 5-1-1 NEAC) the early lead and record the record-setting 36th goal of her career.

The Blue & White protected the lead into the second half and Mackenzie Haladay doubled the advantage when she found twine off a helper from Paige Sharrow in the 63rd minute.

The Wildcats (6-5-1, 3-3-1 NEAC) got off one more legitimate shot on frame in the 65th minute but Penn State Harrisburg goalkeeper Hannah Williams was there to make the stop. The visitors kept Cazenovia from attempting another shot the rest of the way.
