How It Happened
Penn State Harrisburg broke open a late tie by netting a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes to take a 3-1 decision from Immaculata at IU's Draper Walsh Stadium on Thursday evening, Sept. 12.
With the score tied at 1-1 late in the second half, the Mighty Macs (1-4) were whistled for a foul in the box, giving the Lions (2-4) an opportunity at a penalty kick with 14 minutes left to play. Madison Hemler stepped up to take the shot and put her attempt into the back of the net, securing a lead the visitors would not relinquish the rest of the way.
The home team saw its shot at any sort of comeback effort come to an end when Sheila Ansary converted an insurance goal with little more than two minutes remaining in regulation.
Trailing 1-0 early in the second half, Immaculata drew even when Julia Schumacher found twine off an assist from teammate Riley Rudd in the 61st minute. Schumacher's equalizer came nearly 10 minutes after Elizabeth Clippinger put Penn State Harrisburg on the board first thanks to a marker off a Katie Kosovac helper less than seven minutes after halftime.

- Immaculata finished with a 17-to-13 advantage in total shots but the Lions held a 7-to-6 edge in shots on target.
- Each team had eight corner kick opportunities.
- For Elizabeth Clippinger, Madison Hemler and Sheila Ansary, their markers were the first of the season for each player.
- Katie Kosovac recorded her first assist of the young season.
- Hannah Williams made five saves in goal to earn the victory for the Blue & White.
