How It Happened
Penn State Harrisburg dropped a 2-0 decision to Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) foe Salisbury at Nittany Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6.
The matchup played out in a very even fashion for nearly the entire first half, with neither squad appearing to have earned the upper hand through 44 minutes of play.
The turning point came in the closing moments of the opening half, as the Seagulls (4-6-1, 1-1-0 CAC) made a late push into the Blue & White box, allowing Julianna Boller to put her attempt into the back of the net with less than five seconds remaining to give the visitors a one-score advantage heading into the break.
Salisbury kept the momentum rolling shortly after halftime, pressing the ball into the box and eventually doubling the advantage when Boller found twine for the second time in the 56th minute.
The Lions (5-7-1, 0-2-0) came to life in the minutes following Boller's second score and were rewarded with three consecutive corner kicks. Despite the team's inability to score, Harrisburg continued to move the ball towards the SU end line midway through the second half, resulting in two more corners. Again, however, the Salisbury defense held, diffusing the threat in the closing minutes.

- Salisbury finished with a 13-3 edge in total shots and a 7-0 shots-on-goal advantage.
- All three of Penn State Harrisburg's attempts came in the first half.
