Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team battled against the 15th-ranked Christopher Newport Captains on Saturday October 22nd. The Lion's held the visitors throughout the first half while creating several quality offensive opportunities. Newport scored the only goal of the game in the second half to secure a 1-0 win over Harrisburg.

-Harrisburg dominated both sides of the field in the first half, forcing the Captains goalie to make several difficult saves

-The Lion's outshot Christopher Newport 11-3 in the first half, seven shots were on target

-Freshman Madison Hemler led for Harrisburg with 4 shots in the first half

-CNU outshot Harrisburg in the second half, 7-2

-Just two minutes into the second half, the Captains found the back of the net off of a cross in the box and a finish by Kimmie Kerstiens
