2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #3 Stark Earns CAC Rookie of Year, First Team All-Conference Honors

Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer player Kristin Stark (Lancaster, Pa. / Donegal) was just named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Rookie of the Year as well as being named a First Team All-Conference Selection.  She scored ten goals and had five assist in her first season as a Lion.

Stark played her freshman season like she had been in the league for years.  She made an instant impact to the team starting in every single game.  As she got even more comfortable with the team and level of play, she was able to explode in the final two weeks of the season scoring four goals and one assist in her final three games.  After leading the team in goals and assist, she has set the bar high for what she may accomplish in her time at Penn State Harrisburg.

As a team, Penn State Harrisburg finished the regular season leading the conference in scoring.  Unfortunately, despite being the top scoring team and finishing tied for sixth place, the Lions did not make the playoffs due to the head to head tiebreaker.  The Blue and White finished their 2015 season with a 6-9-1 overall record and going 4-5 in conference play, which was three more wins than the past two seasons since joining the CAC.   Hopefully this is just a sign of things to come as the Lions have a great core of players who now are returning with the needed experience and a true belief in what they can accomplish in 2016.
