Lady Lions Fall to Bobcats

Frostburg, Md. The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team struggled on the road Wednesday October 7th against the Frostburg State Bobcats.  The 2015 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champs wasted little time scoring in the second minute of play on way to a 5-1 win.

The Lions had their fair share of possession and played with a high level of intensity for most of the contest, but the Bobcats speed on the counter attack combined with a rough night for Harrisburg inside their 18 yard box put the Blue and White down 3-0 at the half.

Harrisburg came out strong in the second and improved their overall play in the final 45 minutes, except for two additional light goals they gave away early in the second half.  Thankfully, despite Frostburg finding the net at ease, the Lions never quit and finished the game with a score of their own.  Freshman Kristin Stark (Lancaster, Pa. / Donegal) continued her hot streak setting up Fay Ansary (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) for Harrisburg's lone goal of the night in the final ten minutes of play.

Penn State Harrisburg will have to regroup quickly to get ready for their next match against Marymount University set for a 7:00 pm kickoff Friday October 9th
