Cape Charles, Va- Allison Cooper posted 148 (+4) to win the Bay Creek Women's Invitational Tournament. At the tournament Christopher Newport took home both the Men's and the Women's Team Championships. This was first time the Bay Creek Invitational Tournament had a women's tournament. Cooper quickly mastered the course on her first time playing it, posting a 73 (+1) on day 1 of action. Cooper held a five stroke lead entering the second day of competition. She posted a 75 (+3) on day two of competition to capture here first individual championship in this inaugural season for Women's Golf here at Penn State Harrisburg.
Coach Malcolm Jackson said, "Allison is a quality person as well as a great golfer. Allison has a long history of winning at every level that she has competed, so I am not at all surprised to see her have success at this level as well! Allison is hardworking and serves as a great mentor for her teammates, so I am excited to watch our team as the season progresses."
