Fredericksburg, VA – The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team traveled to face off against the Mary Washington Eagles on Saturday February 3rd.  The fourth place Eagles took an early lead on way to a 73-63 win.  Unfortunately, the loss puts the Lions officially out of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) playoff hunt.

How it Happened:

Penn State Harrisburg fell behind after the Eagles started the first quarter with a 22-8 advantage.  The Lions were able to keep the game in reach throughout, winning the next two quarters and cutting the lead to nine to start the fourth quarter. 

Despite playing strong from the time the second quarter started, Harrisburg was not able to make up enough ground and fell in the end 73-63. 

 

Impact Performance:

Tessa Delce (PSH) – 15 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals

Janel Brown (PSH) – 13 points, 7 rebounds

Kendall Parker (UMW) – 27 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists

 

What's Next:

The Lions will host local rival York College on Wednesday February 7th.  The game is going to be the Penn State Harrisburg Basketball programs first WHITE OUT game and will support THON.
