Harrisburg, PA – Penn State Harrisburg Women's Basketball team snapped its 6-game losing streak, beating Delaware Valley in a non-conference match up. Shanique Mattis led the Lions with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Tessa Dolce had a strong performance posting 13 points. Briana Davis added 13 rebounds for the Blue & White.

How it Happened:

Penn State Harrisburg got off to a good start building a 6-0 lead by way of three-pointers from Briana Davis and Laurel Amey. The Aggies would answer back taking a one-point lead with 31 second remaining in the first quarter. Shanique Mattis would drive the length of the court and finish a layup to take back the lead. The Lions would take control of the game in the midway through the second quarter. Sparked by a Janel Brown three-pointer, the Lion would close the half on 11-0 run leading 29-17 at halftime. Getting baskets from 7 different Lions, Harrisburg to build the lead as large as 21. The Lions defense would force the Aggies into 22 turnovers, with Aireo Payne coming with 4-steals.

Head Coach Ross Patrick afterward said, "It's always a great night when everyone gets a chance to contribute.  The last 6-games we have had moments of success, as well as some failure.  Our goal is to continue learning, and growing as a team; which we did tonight.  Our energy was contagious, and a big part of that was from our student section, a big shout out to W & C and the front row!  We will enjoy tonight, and get on the road in 2 days at Lancaster Bible College and look to take another step forward."
