    Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team dropped their final game of the season this afternoon to No. 25 Marymount (Va.) 63-47. The Lion’s also celebrated the careers of their four Seniors: Kaitlyn Carmo, Ana Edmondson, Precious Shirk, and Katie Schwenk.

    Fredericksburg, VA – Kaitlyn Carmo scored 13 points, Shanique Mattis sunk a key last-second free throw, and the Penn State Harrisburg Women’s basketball team found a way to win their toughest road matchup of the season against #7 Mary Washington. It was only the Eagles’ second loss of the season.

    Buena Vista, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team cruised past Southern Virginia on Saturday February 4th for a much needed conference win. Kaitlyn Carmo led for the Blue and White with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Shanique Mattis finished the day with a double double at 18 points and 11 rebounds.

    Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team dropped their third conference win at home on Wednesday February 1st against the visiting Frostburg State Bobcats. The visitors came out strong in the first quarter to secure an early lead before pulling ahead in the final quarter to beat Harrisburg 66-51.

    Newport News, Va.- The fifth-ranked Christopher Newport women’s basketball team slid past Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday afternoon 75-57, in order to remain undefeated. Senior guard Kailtyn Carmo led for the Blue and White with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

In a contest that never saw a lead grow beyond 10 points, it was the home team’s determination and hustle throughout the game--and especially in the third quarter--that helped them to prevail.

    Marymount, Va.- Marymount outshot the Lion’s for the first three quarters to bolt down a large lead over Harrisburg on Wednesday evening. Despite Penn State Harrisburg’s best efforts in the fourth quarter, Marymount cruised to a 69-42 victory on their home court.

    Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team gave nationally ranked Christopher Newport a solid effort Saturday afternoon as the Lion’s dominated three of their four quarters against the Captains. Harrisburg led for most of the matchup before Newport pulled ahead in the fourth and held on to win 63-46.

    Middletown, Pa.- Senior Kaitlyn Carmo put on a show for the home crowd as the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team won its second straight game to defeat Southern Virginia 71-58 on Thursday January 5th. Carmo recorded a season high of 31 points to lead Harrisburg past the Knights.

    Doylestown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions hoped to get back on winning track when they traveled to battle Delaware Valley on Monday January 19th. Despite taking a 7-0 lead to start the game, the Aggies rammed their way back on top on route to a 65-56 win.

    St. Mary’s, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team played a close match with the St. Mary’s Seahawks on Saturday December 10th. The Lion’s struggled in the first half to find their stride but came out in the second half and dominated 40-28. Unfortunately, the home team’s first half lead proved to be too much for Harrisburg as they fell 68-59.

    Frostburg, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team fell on the road this afternoon to Frostburg State in a very evenly matched conference game. The Lion’s started off with a strong first and third quarter but their effort was not enough to take down the Bobcats. The women fell 79-63 for their third conference game of the year.

The Lions Tessa Dolce led Harrisburg with 11 points and seven rebounds in the hard fought 68-44 loss.

UMW was selected as the preseason favorite to repeat with six first-place votes and 78 points, narrowly edging CNU (4 first-place votes; 76 points) for the top spot.
