Grantham, Pa.-The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team struggled on the road against Messiah College. Despite keeping things tight in the first ten minutes, the Falcons proved to be too much for the visiting Lions winning 64-36.

 

During the first 5 minutes of the half the Lions started off strong staying within one possession from the beginning. Unfortunately, the Falcons advanced with three quick shots and held a ten point advantage with 13 minutes to go in the first half. Messiah finished the half on a 15-4 run in the last 8:30 to take control of the game and ended the first half up 35-14.

 

The Falcons continued to control the game during the second half, although the Lady Lions contentious defense shined through in the second half as they took away a total of six steals.  Kaitlyn Carmo (Palmyra, Pa./ Palmyra)  picked up three steals while Kiara Carter(Bronx, NY. / Milton Hershey),Alexis Nolan (Beltsville, Md. / St. Vincent Pallotti), and Jasmine Yanich (Harrisburg, Pa. / Susquehanna Township) each claimed one. The contest ended in Messiahs favor 64-36.

 

Carmo continues to bucket double digits for the White and Blue. In today's match-up she had a total of 14 points, six rebounds, and five steals.

 

The Penn State Lady Lions will be hosting rival Capital Athletic Conference member York College Wednesday Dec 3rd at 6pm.  It is not only their first conference game of the year, but also the third annual Costume Night at the CUB.
