The Lions were led by Nicholas Sturm and Joseph Phifer who finished as a team in the 25th and 26th overall positions with times of 30:08 and 30:31 in the 8k match.

The team overall finished in their best positin to date.  Harrisburg had an overall time of 2:35:25 which was good enough for a 5th place finish out of the nine teams.  Messiah took the top spot of their own tournament and their top runner Jared Schatz was the individual winner with his 26:57 time.

Head Coach Danielle Lynch had this to say of the match following the race, "our top two men finished back to back with our 3rd man (a freshman) a little over 15 seconds back. We are still at the building stage of our training and this run was essential for our development as a whole. I was proud of our men who raced well with CAC competition and finished well in a decently challenging meet."

Harrisburg will hope to continue moving in the right direction next weekend when they host thier annual fall invitational at Shank Park on Saturday.
