White Named NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete to Lead All-Conference Recognition

PITMAN, N.J. – Thanks to his stellar efforts this season, Penn State Harrisburg's Alex White has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Indoor Track & Field Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year.

White also earned all-conference first team honors in the long jump after winning gold in the event and setting a new program record with a top leap of 7.01 meters at the NJAC Indoor Championships last week. The senior also picked up third-team all-conference recognition in the high jump thanks to a bronze-medal winning attempt. Individually, the Mifflintown, Pa. native racked up 20 total points at the NJAC Championships.

Teammate Andrew Bomberger also earned all-conference accolades. The junior finished third in the pole vault at last week's championship event and was named to the all-conference third team for his efforts.

The Lions return to action at the ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in New York this weekend.
