PITMAN, N.J. – Thanks to his performance at the conference championship event on Monday night, Penn State Harrisburg men's track & field athlete Alex White has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

With the Lions making the move from the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) to their new home beginning this season, White became the first athlete in program history to secure an NJAC Championship when he won gold in the long jump event thanks to a top bound of 7.01 meters; a mark that currently ranks 29th in the nation and stands as a new program record.

The senior also took bronze in the high jump with a top leap of 1.95 meters before earning a fifth-place finish in the triple jump thanks to a top effort of 13.11 meters in the event. In total, the Mifflintown, Pa. native racked up 20 total points for the Blue & White on the night.

White is the first Penn State Harrisburg track & field athlete to earn the NJAC's Weekly Award. He, along with his Blue & White teammates return to action at the ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships beginning on Friday afternoon, March 6.
