Track & Field Takes Part In 125th Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams had a number of student-athletes take part in the 125th running of the Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field over the past two days.

 

On Thursday, April 26, the foursome of Rae Rae Taylor, Sarah Lehman, Neeyah Turner and Sephora Senestant combined to run a 51.08 in the women's 4x100m relay. The same group also ran a 4:13.76 in the 4x400m relay. Taylor and Lehman were also in action in the jump pits on Thursday, with both competing in the women's long jump event before Lehman took part in the triple jump the next day.

 

Friday saw Shammah Gahomera, Dominick Hogans, Alex Terody and Jerome Jackson team up to run a 44.22 in the men's 4x100m relay, while Hogans joined Jalil Clayton, Cole Hovis and Kadeem Willis to post a 3:28.15 in the 4x400m relay. The 4x200m relay saw Clayton, Hogans, Terody and Gahomera combine for a 1:29.88. Alex White also had a nice afternoon, earning a top-20 finish in the long jump thanks to his top leap of 6.71 meters.

 

Cameron Yon is set to compete in the men's discus throw championship on Saturday, April 27, while the rest of the Blue & White will travel to Shippensburg for the Paul Kaiser Classic.
