Records Fall at Bucknell's Bison Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up their weekend at Bucknell's Bison Invitational on Sunday afternoon, April 14, with a number of the program's student-athletes turning in strong performances at the event.

A new 4x100m relay record was set on the women's side, with Sarah Lehman, Neeyah Turner, Sephora Senestant and Rae Rae Taylor (fresh off her stellar effort in the heptathlon at Kutztown's Mondschein Multi on Thursday) combining to run a 50.79 and best the previous top mark of 51.28 seconds set last spring.

Lehman continued her progression in the triple jump, with her best effort of 11.46 meters earning her a 10th-place finish and proving her top mark of the young outdoor campaign. She was also the highest-finishing NCAA Division III athlete to take part in the long jump, as she bested jumpers from schools including Cornell, Buffalo, West Virginia and Bucknell.

Cameron Yon was in the zone once again, tossing five attempts of 51-plus meters in the discus throw. His top effort of 55.78 meters earned him a runner-up finish and would stand as the top mark in NCAA Division III if not for the 56.27 meter launch he turned in at Susquehanna in the season opener. The senior's top toss bested those of athletes from schools including Army, Buffalo, Penn State, Cornell, Bucknell, Duquesne, Kutztown and Shippensburg.

Dominick Hogans' outstanding spring continued on the men's side, as he was the top Division III sprinter in the 200m dash thanks to his jaunt of 22.22 seconds; a number good enough to set a new program record in the event. He also moved into second place on the program's all-time list after posting a time of 50.62 seconds in the 400m dash.

Jalil Clayton earned a fourth-place finish in the 110m hurdles, topping competitors from Division I and II schools including Pittsburgh, Bucknell, Penn State, Lehigh, Kutztown and Shippensburg. Alex White posted a season-best effort of 1.94 meters in the high jump and added a fourth-place finish in the long jump to best fellow jumpers from institutions including Pittsburgh, Army, Lehigh, Cornell and Bucknell.

The Lions return to action with a rare mid-week outing at the Shippensburg Invitational on Wednesday afternoon, April 17.
