NEW YORK – Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field programs closed out their weekends at the 2019 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Championships at the New Balance Center at The Armory in New York City on Saturday afternoon, March 2.

The men's team brought some hardware back with it after earning a runner-up finish out of 26 competing squads, while the women clinched a fifth-place finish out of 25 total teams. Individually, Jalil Clayton added another championship to the Lions' already-impressive resume from the current indoor campaign.

Clayton posted one of his best times of the season to win the ECAC Championship in the 60m hurdles, with his effort of 8.15 seconds besting the next-closest finisher by more than .30 seconds. The senior also added top-five finishes in both the 200m and 400m dashes.

Teammate Dominick Hogans secured a fourth-place finish in the 200m dash by running a 22.57, while Shammah Gahomera just missed out on a top-five finish in the 60m hurdles thanks to his time of 8.85 seconds.

In the field, Alex White followed up his runner-up finish in the long jump on Friday night with a third-place finish in the high jump by posting a top mark of 1.95 meters, while Cameron Yon came one spot shy of earning a top-five mark in the weight throw thanks to his best throw of 14.69 meters.

Sarah Lehman and Aiyala McPhee had strong outings on the women's side, as Lehman's top bound of 11.49 meters was good enough to earn her a third-place finish in the triple jump, while McPhee finished fourth in the 60m dash final and sixth in the 200m dash.

With the indoor season now complete for much of Penn State Harrisburg's athletes, a select few will await a bid to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Boston, Mass. next weekend.
