Lions Take 3rd At ECAC Championships

Baltimore, MD- Penn State Harrisburg Men's Track & Field team took 3rd out of 28 teams at the ECAC Championships hosted by Johns Hopkins. Jalil Clayton picked up a pair of ECAC Championships in the 110 Meter Hurdles and 400 Meter Hurdles. Cameron Yon picked up the ECAC Championship in the Discus Throw and Alex White won the ECAC Championship in the High Jump. Finally Daniel Parker won the ECAC Championship in the Javelin Throw.

Jalil Clayton had an outstanding performance winning both the 110 Meter Hurdles and 400 Meter Hurdles. Clayton won the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.54, which now ranks him 17th Nationally. Clayton would then win the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 54.57. Clayton is ranked 20th Nationally in the event.

Cameron Yon continued his strong spring, picking up the ECAC Championship in the Discus Throw with a toss of 51.42 Meters. Thanks to a massive toss earlier this season, Yon is still ranked 1st Nationally in the event. Yon would also score in the Shot Put, with a throw of 14.08 Meters taking sixth.

Alex White also won an ECAC Championship in the High Jump, clearing 2.03 Meters. White would then take second in the Long Jump with a leap of 7.12 Meters. White is currently ranked 12th Nationally in the Long Jump.

Daniel Parker picked up an ECAC Championship in the Javelin Throw, with a toss of 56.17 Meters. Joseph Rebarchak took sixth in the Javelin Throw with a toss of 50.23 Meters.

Rodeo Thompson took third in the High Jump, clearing 1.88 Meters. Josiah Owhe also took sixth in the Long Jump, traveling 6.87 Meters.

Clayton, Yon, and White will all now wait to see if they earn a berth into the NCAA championship on May 24th, 25th, and 26th in Spire, Ohio .
