Harrisburg Places 5th at CAC Indoor Championship

Newport News, Va- Penn State Harrisburg Men's Track & Field team tied for 5th place at the 2017-18 CAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Blue & White were lead by Jalil Clayton who scored team points in six events. The Lions recorded 58 team points in the Championships.

Jalil Clayton had an eventful weekend for the Lions, taking home third place finishes in both the 200 and 400 Meter Dashes. Clayton would go to place 4th in the 60 Meter Hurdles and helped the 4X400 Meter Relay team to a 5th placed finish. Clayton would have a strong showing in the High Jump and Long Jump capturing 4th and 8th place finishes.

Josiah Owhe had his best showing of the season in the 60 Meter Dash finishing seventh with a time of 7.17 seconds. The Distance Medley team of Kadeem Willis, Jacob Kaminski-Mainardi, Kevin Afoakwah, and Mekael Kassu finished sixth with a school record time of 10:59.72.

Alex White scored team points in the High Jump clearing 1.97 meters, the Long Jump with a leap of 6.56 meters, and Triple Jump traveling 12.95. Owhe added a third place finish in the Long Jump with a leap of 6.61 meters.

Finally Cameron Yon took fourth place in the weight throw with a toss of 14.84 meters and seventh place in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.57 meters.

Penn State Harrisburg's Men's Track & Field team will next be in action at the ECAC Indoor Championships in New York City on March 2nd and 3th.
