Penn State Harrisburg Impresses at Mason-Dixon Invitational

Gettysburg, Pa. – The Men's and Women's Track & Field team of Penn State Harrisburg took part in the Mason-Dixon Invitational at Gettysburg College Saturday April 18th.  The Lions posted impressive numbers and boasted numerous top place finishes to improve on their already memorable inaugural season as a program. 

Sophomore Katlin Gould (Camp Hill, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) stole the show for the Lady Lions.  Gould recorded a third place finish in the 400 meter dash and a fourth place finish in the 200 meter.  She also placed second in the pole vault with fellow teammate Jennifer Peters (Dallastown, Pa. / Dallastown Area High School) finishing third in the same event.

As for the men, teammates Jalen Williams (Easton, Pa / Easton Area) and Joey Phifer (Union, N.J / Union) boasted impressive finished for the Blue and White.  Williams finished third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.30 seconds.  Phifer continues to shine for the Lions as he took home a second place finish in the 400 meter. 

Penn State Harrisburg will return to action Friday April 24th when they will take part in the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania.
