Men's and Women's Track and Field Indoor Championship Preview and Webcast

The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track and field team will travel to Christopher Newport Saturday February 21st to compete in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship.  Both track teams will look to make a splash at this year's championship, which is the first ever for the newly formed program.  

One of the men to keep your eye on this weekend is Joseph Phifer (Union, N.J / Union). Phifer currently sits with the 4th best CAC time in the 800 meters with a 1:59.59 as well as the 8th best time in the 400 meter with a 51.92.  Also hoping to finish high in the standings is Josiah Owhe (Westbury, N.Y. / Westbury), Owhe holds top 20 spots in both the 60 Meter Dash and the Long Jump.

On the women's side keep track of Katlin Gould (Camp Hill, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) who holds top times in the 200 and 400 meters as well as holding the third highest pole vault mark in the CAC. On the field side, Erin Goodyear (Boiling Springs, Pa. / Boiling Springs) holds top throws in both the shot put and weight throw.

With the meet docked to start Saturday at 10:30 a.m. both teams are eager to make their first Championship a success.
