Lions Claw Back at Bobcats in CAC Win

Frostburg, Md. - The Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis team put together an impressive comeback in their 5-4 win over the Frostburg St. Bobcats on Saturday April 14th. The Lions went down 2-1 in doubles, but were able to overcome the deficit by winning four of six singles matches to pull their first Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) win of the season.

Harrisburg went down in doubles, but did get a positive result from Issac George / Eric Belles at the #2 doubles with an 8-5 win.  Confidence is gained in doubles, but the Lions refused to give up and battled back to win four of their six singles matches for the win.  Every contest was tight and the pressure mounted as the scores were being reported.  In the end, wins from Eric Belles, Issac George, Alex Rohn and Austin Stehman proved to be just enough for the teams first conference victory of the season.

Penn State Harrisburg was not as strong in their showing on Friday against York College.  The men earned just one win from Noah Nacionales/Alex Rohn at the #3 doubles paring in the 8-1 loss.

The Lions will finish off thier 2017-2018 campaign at home against Southern Virginia on Saturday April 21st.
