Lions Truimph over Seahawks for First Confrerence Win of Ever

The Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis team bounced back from their tough loss on Saturday to Mary Washington by shooting down the St. Mary's Seahawks in a 6-3 victory on Sunday March 22nd.

In Singles Action the Lions where able to take four of the six matches. Leading the way in singles for the Blue and White was sophomore Chris Magee (Westminster, Md. / Manchester Valley) and Johnny Xue (Blue Hill, Maine/ George Stevens Academic). Magee won in a tie breaker in his first set to take it 7-6 (7-5) and was able to carry the momentum through to take the 2nd in straight games 6-0. Xue won both sets as well winning 6-2 and 6-4.

In doubles, the team of Magee and freshmen Mitchell Ebersole (Donegal, Pa. /Donegal) led the way taking down St Mary's top doubles team winning by a score of 8-6. The Lions were also able to take the #2 doubles giving them the win for the match 6-3.

The Lions will be in action next when Lebanon Valley College comes to town on Wednesday March 25th. The Match is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
