Men's Tennis Dominates Future CAC Opponent Frostburg St.

Middletown Pa. - Lions men's tennis had one of their best performances of the year against Frostburg St. Monday.  The men went a perfect 9-0 in their latest victory over the future Capitol Athletic Conference competitor.

The Men could have easily let a couple games go the other way today, but after playing inspired doubles play to take all three games, Harrisburg was not going to look back.  As strong as the double play was, the scores in singles action made the Bobcats long for getting off the court and back into the schools charter bus they came in.

#2 singles player Evgeny Matigullin (New Bloomfield, Pa. / Susquenita) and # 3 singles Tyler Miller (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg) won their matches without giving up a game. Vincent Lepore III (Chepachet, R.I. / Ponaganset), Ben Leibig (Lebanon, Pa. / Lebanon), and Alex Koltun (Mount Gretna, Pa. / Cedar Crest) also impressed by only giving up one game in two sets.

Josh Cartmill (Carlisle, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) had to battle a little more winning his two sets 6-3 and 6-4, showing why he was named last years NEAC player of the year as he hit the ball with force and control.

The Lions travel to New York to face off against Keuka and Wells College on their long road trip of the year this Friday and Saturday to close the regular season.
