BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw against non-conference opponent Bridgewater (Va.) on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Although Penn State Harrisburg (5-4-6) was unable to capitalize on four scoring chances on Saturday afternoon, the Lions turned a solid defensive effort, keeping Bridgewater (6-2-5) off the board and securing the team's fifth shutout of the season.

During the first half, the Lions only got off one shot which was denied by Bridgewater goalkeeper AJ Mackey, while the Eagles had a pair of shots that were saved by Penn State Harrisburg goalkeeper Hossam Aly

The home team was aggressive from the beginning of the second half, as Aly saved a shot from Eagles' midfielder Zach Jarvis in the 46th minute. Not long after, Penn State Harrisburg tried to answer when Kobe Harris' shot was just off the goal and Daniel Fombu's bottom left attempt was rejected. In the last ten minutes of play, Aly made two key saves to secure the shutout.
