Aman, Myers Sweep NEAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

LATHAM, N.Y. – Penn State Harrisburg's Joey Aman and Luke Myers have swept the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Soccer Weekly Awards, with Aman earning offensive player of the week honors and Myers garnering defensive player of the week recognition.

For Aman, it is the second time this fall he has earned the conference's weekly honor. The junior scored twice and assisted on another goal to tally five total points in the Lions' 5-0 shutout victory at Cazenovia on Sunday afternoon. The Annapolis, Md. native has netted eight goals on the season; a number good enough to rank him tied for third among NEAC players.

Myers helped the Blue & White record a pair of shutouts of league foes over the weekend. The defender and the rest of the back line shut out Cazenovia and held the Wildcats to just three total shots on Sunday after Cazenovia entered the weekend ranked second in the nation in scoring offense. One day earlier, the freshman netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win at Morrisville State. It was the first marker of his collegiate career.

The Lions (11-4, 7-0 NEAC) return to action when they host Keuka at Nittany Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 19.
