Men's Soccer Receives Votes In D3soccer.com National Poll

Complete Rankings

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – For the just the second time since the poll's inception in 2010, Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer is receiving votes in the D3soccer.com national rankings.

The Lions (12-1) earned 11 votes in the organization's latest Top 25 Poll, ranking them 39th overall, after receiving 22 votes a week ago (good enough for 31st overall). It is the first time Harrisburg has received votes in the D3soccer.com rankings since the fall of 2014.

Under head coach Daniel Krzyzanowicz, Penn State Harrisburg is off to the best start in program history, with the team's lone defeat coming in overtime on the road at perennial contender Christopher Newport after reeling off 11 wins in a row to begin the 2018 campaign. The Blue & White currently rank fifth in the nation in team goals against average (.300) to go along with a 3.46 goals per game mark; a number good enough to rank eighth in the country.

National and regional rankings are nothing new for Coach K, who has had teams at his previous Division III stop appear in the national rankings nine seasons in a row.

Individually, Joey Aman currently leads the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) with 10 goals scored, while Shammah Gahomera is tops in the league with seven assists. Aman (22), Ethan Hoover (19) and Toma Nichik (18) all rank among the conference leaders in total points.

Fresh off a thrilling victory over Susquehanna, the Lions return to action when they host CAC foe and fellow Top 25 vote-getter Salisbury on Saturday afternoon.
