Ikeazor leads lions to rainy win over Wesley

The Lions were forced into a battle with the elements and Wesley in Middletown as rain bombarded the pitch. Lead by Senior forward Nnamdi Ikeazor the raider were able to overcome the elements earning a 3-0 win. Ikeazor was in attack mode all game getting in 3 shots, culminated by a perfectly timed run in the 67th minute scoring the lions second goal of the game putting the game out of reach. 

With the elements working against them the Lions leaned on the teams wiley veterans, Senior Victor weaver put the lions on the board first using great patience to net a beautiful turn around around shot in the 23rd minute.

It wasn't just offense for the Lions though, once again the defense was on point. Lead by Senior defender Christian Schmoyer the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany lions notched their 8th shutout win of the season. The lions swarmed  Wesley the stifling the wolverines high powered offense. When the wolverines did break free goal keeper Hunter Cooper was there to save the day improving his save percentage to .810 on the season.

Head Coach Dan Krzyzanowicz, "I was very pleased with the defensive efforts tonight.  Wesley is a well coached side with some dangerous attacking players.  I'm proud that our team was up to the task tonight, now we need to focus on training for CNU."

With the win the lions move five games above .500 with a 10-5 record. The lions next game is away this Saturday at 7PM against Christopher Newport.
