WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg wrapped up three consecutive days of competition by taking part in a preview of this year's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship event at the Williamsport Country Club on Monday afternoon, Sept. 23.
As a group, the Lions managed to shoot a 345, +65 and earn a sixth-place finish out of the 10 competing schools. Penn State Berks took home the team trophy, while Susquehanna's Devin Peart won the individual title thanks to a round of 68, -2.
Josh Swartz was the top finisher for the Blue & White, posting an 83, +13 and securing a share of 19th-place out of 59 total golfers. Luke Ehler followed closely behind with an 84, +14; a score good enough to clinch a share of 21st place. Tyler Mallon carded an 86, +16 to finish tied for 25th place, while Andrew Fink and Montana Gleason rounded out the team's scoring contingency with identical scores of 92, +22.
After competing in four rounds over an eight-day span, Penn State Harrisburg will get a few weeks off before returning to competition at the Revolutionary Classic hosted by Ursinus at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club in Rising Sun, Md. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
