INDIANAPOLIS – Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball player Dylan Daniels has won NCAA Division III Statistical Championships in the categories of blocked shots per game and total blocks.

With the 2019-20 season complete, Daniels clinched statistical championships after posting a 4.62 blocks-per-game average and racking up 134 total blocks during the most-recent campaign. His average was tops among NCAA Division III players by more than one rejection per contest and his total was the highest in the nation by more than 40 blocks.

The sophomore was sensational on the defensive end this season and shot 55.5 percent from the field this winter. The Clarksville, Md. native averaged 11.9 points per game, pulled down 8.4 rebounds per outing and racked up 10 double-doubles on the year. The forward also picked up NEAC Player of the Week honors in November. Daniels' strong play helped the Lions to a program-record 21 victories, a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship, an NCAA Tournament appearance and an NCAA Tournament victory over No. 6 Johns Hopkins in March.

Daniels joined baseball's Bret Williams (hits, runs, total bases) and Travis Van Houten (runs batted in), women's volleyball's Brittany Ebaugh (block solos) and men's soccer's Nicholas Guglielmetti (goalkeeper shutouts) as Penn State Harrisburg student-athletes to clinch an NCAA Statistical Championship dating back to last spring.
