How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg made it look easy in a 100-52 victory at North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Penn College on Wednesday night, Jan. 15.

Donyae Baylor-Carroll's recent hot streak continued with a 29-point outing that included seven 3-pointers. Nate Curry recorded another double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Dylan Daniels had 12 points and eight boards. Chris Haynes added 11 points, Pedro Rodriguez tallied nine points and seven rebounds and Robby Bobeck netted eight off the bench.

Baylor-Carroll scored 10 of the team's first 16 points to put the Lions (7-6, 3-1 NEAC) ahead by 11 in the early going before Curry took over with the hot hand later in the half. The freshman knocked down four consecutive jumpers from beyond the arc to stretch the advantage to 34-18 at the 5:33 mark.

A Haynes 3-ball pushed the lead to 20 points less than three minutes later before Baylor-Carroll put an exclamation point on the first-half scoring with a jumper from 3-point range that made it 50-27 at the break.

There was no let up to start the second half, as the Blue & White put together a 16-0 run capped by back-to-back Baylor-Carroll 3-pointers that ballooned the lead to 33 with 14:42 left to play. A pair of free throws from Rodriguez extended the margin to 35 with 10 minutes remaining and a Daniels layup off a Josh Martin assist pushed the advantage to 40 at the 8:15 mark.

The visitors stretched their lead past the 50-point mark when Bobeck came away with a steal and laid one in on the other end with five minutes left and the defense allowed just seven more points the rest of the way.

- The 48-point win is Penn State Harrisburg's largest margin of victory this season.

- Prior to Wednesday night, the last time the Lions posted 100 points in a game came in a 104-73 victory over Penn State Abington on Feb. 16, 2013.

- The Blue & White shot a stout 54 percent from the field and an impressive 51.9 percent from 3-point range.

- Penn College managed just 32.1 percent shooting from the floor and 21.1 percent from beyond the arc.

- The Lions dominated on the glass, outrebounding the home team 45-21.

- Penn State Harrisburg tallied 21 points off Wildcat turnovers.

- Donyae Baylor-Carroll poured in a game-high 29 points on 7-12 shooting from the floor, 7-10 shooting from 3-point territory and 8-9 shooting from the foul line.

- In the last five outings, Baylor-Carroll is averaging 25 points per game.

- Nate Curry recorded his third double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

- Dylan Daniels flirted with a double-double, finishing with 12 points and eight boards. He also had four blocks.

- Pedro Rodriguez impressed in a reserve role. He netted nine to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.

- Chris Haynes missed just one shot on the night and went 3-3 from distance to tally his 11 points.

- Zegary Scott III dished out a game-high six assists to go along with five points.

- Robby Bobeck netted eight points and Clinton Asalu added four off the bench.
