How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg used an offensive outburst, some stingy defense and a complete team effort up and down the lineup to leave no doubt in a lopsided 98-73 road victory over Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) foe Frostburg State on Wednesday night, Jan. 16.

Five players reached the double-digit scoring mark, with Kahlil Williams and Chris Bing each posting a double-double. Williams netted a team-high 19 points, while Donyae Baylor-Carroll finished with 14 of his own. Keenan Wise had 13 off the bench, Bing posted 12 points and Brandon Coleman added 11.

The Lions (10-6, 2-3 CAC) broke open a tight contest late in the first half and never looked back, stretching a one-point lead at the 6:52 mark to a 19-point advantage at the break thanks to a game-changing 27-9 run to close out the half.

Bing and Coleman combined to score seven of the first nine points in the second half, pushing the Blue & White lead to 24 with 18 minutes to play. From that point forward, Penn State Harrisburg would not lead by less than 21 points the rest of the way.

With a pair of Coleman free throws expanding the Lions' advantage to 27 points with little more than six minutes remaining, it was time for the reserves to get into the act. Dylan Daniels and Pedro Rodriguez made an impact on the offensive end, with a Daniels' jump shot giving the visitors their largest lead of the night at 31 points with 1:13 left.

- The Lions shot a stout 56.3 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from beyond the arc.

- Frostburg State shot just 36.1 percent from the floor, 28 percent from 3-point range and 60.9 percent from the foul line.

- The Blue & White won the rebounding battle 50-36.

- Harrisburg scored 56 of its points in the paint and netted 16 points off FSU turnovers.

- As a team, the Lions racked up 23 assists on 40 made field goals.

- Kahlil Williams posted a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

- Chris Bing also had a double-double with 12 points, 10 boards and three blocks.

- Donyae Baylor-Carroll flirted with a double-double, finishing with 14 points and seven assists.

- Keenan Wise knocked down three buckets from beyond the arc en route to scoring 13 points.

- Brandon Coleman recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

- Zegary Scott III had nine points, four boards and four assists.

- Dylan Daniels posted eight points, four rebounds and a block in just six minutes of work.

- Ibn-Haneef Nelson, Pedro Rodriguez and Gbolahan Alliyu combined for 12 points and five boards off the bench.

- Daniel Alexander scored a game-high 25 points for the Bobcats.
