Reading, PA – Penn State Harrisburg's second half rally came up just short as the Lions fell in their first round match-up against Albright College in the Crowne Plaza Holiday Tournament. Kahlil Williams led the Lions with 25 points. Harrisburg also got 15 points from Brandon Coleman and 14 points from Anthony Bennett Jr. In his first career game, Chris Bing scored 10 points for the Lions.

How it Happened:

Kahlil Williams started strong scoring 11 of the Lions first 15 points. Both teams would trade baskets early with the score tied at 15 midway through the first half. Albright would go on an 8-0 run to take the lead and build on it through the rest of the half holding a 12 point advantage at the half.

 

The Lions would fall behind by 17 early in the second half, before starting a rally. A Tariq Bennett 3-pointer would spark the Lions offense. Harrisburg drew several fouls with five different Lions making free throws. Trent Thomas would knock down a three-pointer and on the next possession Chris Bing would make a layup to pull within four. The Lions would continue battling and Anthony Bennett Jr would tie the game at 76 with a three-pointer. The Lions were unable to recapture the lead, falling by 6 points.
